A
Note From The Twins
Our thoughts
and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who perished
or are missing in the September 11th tragedies. Our special
condolences to fan club member and friend, John DiPalermo, whose
cousin “Big John” Fiorito was killed in the Twin Tower explosion.
Our hearts go out to all of you who were personally affected by these
tragedies. We would also like to honor the heroes who have
contributed to the rescue and relief efforts. We are amazed and
thankful for your courage.
In some way, we
have all been affected by the horrific events of September 11th.
Our lives, as we knew them, will never be the same. We have to
keep the faith and keep praying. God has a plan for each one of
us. God bless America!
We had our
album release party on September 6th in Nashville. We had a
great turn-out (about 100 people). We presented the Golden Web
Award to our Webmaster, David Sledge. The award is presented to
sites whose web design, originality and content have achieved levels
of excellence deserving of recognition. David does a great job
and we are proud to call him our Webmaster! The party was a
success with food, refreshments, and entertainment. We performed
several songs from our new album (“Million Roses”) with
accompaniment from Casey Kelly and Scott Nienhaus. A good time
was had by all! Thanks to Wanda and “Trees” Trester for
sending the beautiful red roses! Also, special thanks to Randal
Reed for the roses and the stage set-up. You’re a sweetheart.
We just got
back from the Airplay International Awards. We’re happy to say
that we came back with an armload of awards! Our mother and fan
club president, Vivian Moore, received the award for Fan Club of the
Year. Our talent agency, Third Coast Talent, received Talent
Agency of the Year. We were also honored with Country Duo of the
Year and International Entertainer of the Year. The
International Entertainer award is gigantic! We snapped lots of
pictures and will get them up on the site soon! We did an hour
show with our band on the Friday night of the awards and got a
standing ovation! We had a great time and enjoyed visiting with
fellow independent entertainers.
We will be
taking some time off this month to vacation in Florida and do a little
songwriting. We will also be traveling to Missouri at the end of
the month for our mother’s milestone birthday! We’re having
a party/family reunion to celebrate! Don’t tell anyone, but
it’s Mom’s 70th birthday!
Mom still acts like a spring chicken! She visited with us in
Nashville for about a month and traveled with us on the bus to our
performances. We also did a lot of sightseeing in Nashville.
We can’t keep up with her!
In November,
we’ll be heading back to Europe. We will be performing in
Switzerland and we’re really looking forward to it!
We hope
everyone is doing well. We love you all and hope to see you
sometime soon!
Love,
Debbie
