June 2006

It’s that time of year again! The CMA Music Festival (Fan Fair) is scheduled for June 8-11 (Thursday- Sunday) in downtown Nashville! Our booth number this year is 305. We’ll be right next to Brooks & Dunn and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau, so keep an eye out for us! Our booth theme is simply, “Meant To Be“, the title of Moore & Moore‘s new CD! The booth will have an “old-fashioned” feel to it, so stop by and take a break from the hustle and bustle of Fan Fair! For more information about Fan Fair, visit www.cmafest.com or call 1-800-CMA-FEST for tickets!

Our 9th Annual Fan Club Party will take place at McDougal’s Village Coop in Nashville (Hillsboro Village near Pancake Pantry) on Thursday, June 8th at 6:30 p.m. (More information is included in this newsletter). It’s a free event! There will be lots of fun and conversation, music, fan club member awards, and several special guests, including Billy Yates! It’s always a fun night, and we look forward to seeing everyone there!

Moore & Moore had a fantastic time in Scandinavia! They toured all over Denmark in March, performing in 10 cities and taping a television show with fellow artists Arne Benoni and Arly Karlsen from Norway, The Country Sisters from the Czech Republic, and the Tomboola Band from Sweden. Their driver/tour manager/comedian & MC, Yan Swahn, (also from Sweden) kept everyone laughing. The last night of the tour (March 25th) was Debbie & Carrie’s birthday. They performed in Birkerod (near Copenhagen) at Mantziusgarden and the entire audience sang “Happy Birthday” to them. They also shared dinner, wine and a special birthday dessert (tiramisu) and were presented with gifts by everyone on the tour. Debbie & Carrie feel as if they’ve made friends for life, and are planning another tour of Denmark in September 2007! There are a few other overseas tours in the works, so we’ll keep you posted!

Moore & Moore will be performing in Pigeon Forge, TN on September 29th at the Country Tonite Theater (Nashville Legends Show) with country legends, Little Jimmy Dickens, Bill Anderson, Jim Ed Brown, Helen Cornelius and Jean Shepard. For tickets and information, please visit www.countrytonitetheater.com , or call 1-800-792-4308. (I plan to join Debbie & Carrie that weekend for a mini vacation!)

Our next newsletter will be out in September. Until then, Happy Father’s Day and Happy 4th of July! I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at Fan Fair!

Vivian Moore/Fan Club President

A Note From Moore & Moore

Hello everyone. We hope you’re all doing well and getting ready for a fun week in Nashville! We look forward to seeing all of you, especially at our fan club party!

Denmark was absolutely incredible! We had the time of our lives. The shows were great and the people were fantastic. We got recognized everywhere we went, and our birthday was one of the best we’ve ever had. It was very cold with a lot of snow, but we enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the people of Denmark! We heard that March 2006 was the coldest March in 40 years! (That figures!) It even snowed the morning we left Copenhagen to come back to the States, but we look forward to touring there again soon, hopefully in September 2007. To see some more photos from the tour, please visit our website! Also, thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes!

We performed with Tommy Cash on April 8th in Piqua, OH. We had a blast with Tommy and his band, “The Cash Crew“. Thanks to fan club members, Mary Collins and Robert & Linda Crouse for driving several hours to be there! Thanks to Mary for helping us sell merchandise. Mary will probably help out a little at our booth this year too. Chris Neel & Doris Barr (the wild women) will be in the booth most of the time, but of course, you’ll also see “Mama Moore”, also known as “St. Vivian of the Convention Center”! We plan to be at the booth everyday from 2-4 p.m., so please stop by!

As we’re sure you all have heard by now, one of country music’s greats has passed away. Billy Walker, “The Tall Texan“, was killed in an automobile accident on his way back to Nashville on May 21st after a show in Foley, AL. His wife Bettie and two musicians, Charles Lilly & Danny Patton also perished. Joshua Brooks, Billy & Bettie’s 21-year old grandson, remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. We knew and loved Billy & Bettie. The loss is tragic and they will all be dearly missed. Please continue to say prayers for Josh.

Everyone please have safe travels to Nashville, or wherever your travels take you this summer. We hope to see you soon in Nashville, or somewhere on the road!

Love,

Debbie & Carrie
