Happy Spring?
Is it really time for warm weather again? It seems like we were going to have a fairly warm winter, but the last few weeks have proven otherwise. I hope everyone is digging out from under the winter storms, especially our friends on the East coast.
Debbie & Carrie will be experiencing a little more winter weather as they embark on their first tour of Denmark. Moore & Moore will be a part of the “Country Night Tour” and will fly out on March 7th with their first performance in Naestved on March 9th. The tour consists of 10 shows and an appearance on a Denmark television show. Other acts on the tour include Arne Benoni & Arly Karlsen (from Norway), The Country Sisters (from the Czech Republic) and the Tomboola Band (from Sweden). Debbie & Carrie will spend their birthday (March 25th), and their last night in Denmark, performing at Mantziusgarden in Birkerod. That will be a birthday to remember!
After the Denmark tour, it will be time to get ready for the CMA Music Festival (Fan Fair) in Nashville, June 8-11. We’ve been informed that we will once again have a booth at Fan Fair, but we won’t know the location until later this month. We’ve got our thinking caps on for some booth theme ideas, but we’re still working on it. First things first!
The 9th Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party plans are underway! The party is set for Thursday, June 8th at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the same location as last year - McDougal’s Village Coop in Hillsboro Village in Nashville. It’s a free event with entertainment, special guests, fan club member awards and party favors. More information is in this newsletter. We would like for everyone to RSVP, just so we can have an idea of how many people will be attending. We had a great time last year with lots of special guests, including T.G. Sheppard! We hope to see you there!
If you haven’t ordered the new CD “Meant To Be” yet, what are you waiting for? It’s available now on the website at mooreandmooreonline.com, or go straight to CDBaby.com and search for Moore & Moore. If you’re not online, you can order the CD by calling 1-800-Buy-MyCD, or you can order it through the fan club! “Million Roses” and “Master Of My Own Destiny” are also available. Of course, we’ll have the new CD readily available at Fan Fair!
Moore & Moore hope to start working on their new video (“Mistake Child”) when the weather starts getting nicer. We’ll let you know their progress and the release date!
Our next newsletter will be out in June, just in time to tell you “moore” about Fan Fair events. Until then, Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Happy Easter, Happy Cinco De Mayo and Happy Mother’s Day! (I may go to Montana for Mother’s Day!) I hope to see you all in June, if not sooner! Vivian Moore/Fan Club PresidentA Note From Moore & Moore:
Well, it’s almost that time. It’s hard to believe we’ll be leaving in a few days to be a part of the “Country Night Tour” in Denmark! We’ve been figuring out what to pack - stage outfits, merchandise, the comforts of home, etc. We’ve also been downloading the laptop, hooking up for wireless, etc. It’s a full time job just getting ready for it! We’ve been eating right and working out in Jazzercise class so we can be in shape and keep up the pace. After all, we have 11 shows to do!
We had a great time in December performing in Kansas City at Harrah’s Casino, and then in Frankenmuth, Michigan at Zehnder’s. We saw lots of friends and family in Kansas City and really enjoyed spending time with them. T.G. Sheppard’s band backed us up, and they were great! Frankenmuth was a beautiful place to be at Christmastime. The decorations, lights and continuous light snow was breathtaking. We also visited the “Silent Night Chapel”, where “Silent Night” plays 24 hours a day, and “Bronners”, the world’s largest Christmas store. It’s so big, we didn’t even make it through a third of the store, but we had fun trying!
We went to Little Jimmy Dickens’ 85th birthday party in December! It was a surprise party at the Bass Pro Shop at Opry Mills in Nashville. A lot of Jimmy’s friends showed up including Bill Anderson, Brad Paisley, Jeannie Seely, Bobby Bare, Jerry Reed, Jack Greene, David Frizzell and many others. Jimmy said it was the best birthday party he ever had. We were so glad to be among the well-wishers.
We’ll be doing a “Nashville Legends Show” with Jimmy, Bill, etc. in September in Pigeon Forge, TN. Check it out on our schedule. If we’re anywhere close to you, we hope you’ll make plans to come see us. Of course, we’re also looking forward to seeing everyone again at Fan Fair, and especially, the party! We enjoy spending time with you!
Please keep fan club member, Russ Colby, in your thoughts and prayers. He is undergoing chemotherapy. Russ moved to New Hampshire, and we miss him!
We’ll be thinking about you when we’re overseas, and we hope you’ll think of us! See you soon!
Love, Debbie & Carrie
