WELCOME SPRING!
Spring is here! It’s nice to see the daffodils blooming again, and warmer weather is nice too! I’ll be spending some time in Nashville this month celebrating the season with Debbie & Carrie on St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and their birthday on March 25th!
Moore & Moore will be traveling quite a bit this year with shows coming up in Florida, Arkansas, Ohio, Wyoming, Montana, Illinois, Pennsylvania (and more TBA). They will also be traveling internationally to Ireland and China. Keep up to date with the latest schedule on our website (above) or at www.myspace.com/mooreandmoore
Carrie just returned from Ireland after accompanying Jeannie Seely for the Queens of Country tour in February, along with Lynn Anderson and Billie Jo Spears. She had a great time and is looking forward to returning with Debbie for the UTV Country Fest in August to perform and share the bill with George Jones, Gene Watson, Ricky Skaggs, Stonewall Jackson and more!
11th ANNUAL FAN CLUB PARTY!
The Moore & Moore Fan Club Party will take place on Thursday, June 5th (during CMA Music Festival week). We are changing the location this year to Neely‘s Barbecue in Nashville at Metro Center. The Neely’s not only have great barbecue, they also have their own television show (“Down Home With The Neely’s“) on The Food Network! More information on our 11th annual party is included in this newsletter. Mark your calendars, and make plans to be there!
Also mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 4th! Moore & Moore are set to perform on the International Fan Club Organization's annual IFCO "Fun Fest" Show (7:00 pm) at Cadillac Ranch in Nashville with Lynn Anderson, Andy Griggs, Lane Brody, David Church, Benita Hill, Jimmie Van Zant and more TBA! Robert K. Oermann will be the night's host. Ticket prices are $24.50 for ensured seating, $12.50 for General Admission. Ticket orders can be placed online at: http://www.ifco.org or by calling 615.371.9596. We hope to see you both nights - June 4th & 5th!
Our next newsletter will be out in June before Fan Fair. Until then, Happy Easter, Happy Mothers Day and Happy Memorial Day! I look forward to seeing everyone at the fan club party, if not before!

A NOTE FROM MOORE & MOORE
We’ve got spring fever! We had a fairly mild winter in Nashville, but it’s great to see the trees budding, the flowers blooming, and the birds singing!
We’ve been keeping busy. We had a great show at the Bluebird in Nashville in January. We even got a standing ovation! We also went to the “Country Reunion” taping in January and really enjoyed seeing so many legendary performers and listening to their stories. We just got back from George Lindsey’s Film Festival in Florence, Alabama. We met Billy Bob Thornton and several of the cast members from “Sling Blade”. It was quite an experience!
We’ve also been writing a lot of new songs. Our friend, Melody Gallion, has been writing with us, and we’re cranking out the tunes! We’ll be going back in the studio next month to record some more. We think you’ll like the new stuff!
We’re looking forward to our international travels this year. The actual “traveling” is the worst part, but it sure is fun when you get there! We’ll be playing the UTV Country Festival in Ireland in August. It’s a huge 2-day festival with over 50 acts on 3 stages! We’ll have a “grand time” there! Our China tour got moved to October, so we’ll know more about that as it gets closer. We haven’t been to Asia in over 10 years, and it is quite a culture shock, but we’re looking forward to the cheap foot massages! ;)
We have to brag on our nephew, Lyles. He is only 13 and a fourth degree Taekwondo black belt! He recently competed at the U.S. Junior Open. He is now one of the 80 athletes that will compete for 20 spots on the U.S. Junior Team that will then go on to compete at the 2008 Junior World Taekwondo Championships in Izmir, Turkey, May 8-11. The final trials will take place April 4 in Des Moines, Iowa, where the 20-member team will be finalized. Lyles was recently interviewed on a local television show and had a huge front page article in the newspaper. To read the article (and see photos), go to www.examiner.net and search for “Lyles Moore”. The article headline is “Aiming High”. You may just see Lyles in the 2012 Olympics! (He’s so talented, he must take after his aunts!) ;)
Everybody take care. We hope to see you at some of our shows on the road, and at our fan club party and the IFCO Fun Fest in Nashville during CMA week!
Love, Debbie & Carrie
