Hello everyone, and Happy Autumn!
“Find Me A Man Like Goober” is still getting great reviews and has been added to several new video outlets, including, Sound of Country, a weekly television show airing in 10 million homes in China! (There’s a very good chance that Moore & Moore will be touring in China next year!) XM Radio is playing the song and Moore & Moore and George Lindsey recently did an interview with Country Dan on the America Channel. All of the new and existing video adds are included in this newsletter, so check it out and keep requesting it!
The video will also soon air on RFD-TV when George Lindsey will be a guest on Ralph Emery Live! The show will probably air in mid-October, but check your local listings. RFD-TV is part of Direct TV’s line-up on channel 379 and Dish Network on channel 231, plus several cable networks. Ralph Emery Live is on Monday nights at 6pm CST and repeats through the week, including Saturday nights at 10pm CST. So, please watch for it!
We had another great time at Fan Fair/CMA Music Festival! Moore & Moore’s booth was a “Goober gas station”, and it really looked cute. Even George Lindsey and Ralph Emery stopped by to check it out. Thanks to Chris Neel, Doris Barr, Mary Collins and Vince Buzzeo for all of your help at the booth. Also, thanks to Trees & Wanda Trester and Barb Thuerk. We all had fun spending time together and painting the town!
The 10th Annual Fan Club party was a blast! Our special guest this year was DAVID FRIZZELL! He sang his big hits, with Moore & Moore singing along. Other guests included Brent Moyer, Joe Sun, Kacy Fox, Julie Wilkerson and CLUE. Congratulations to the recipients of our fan club member awards:
Fan Club Member Of The Decade: Vince Buzzeo
Fan Club Member Of The Year: Brien Coffey!
Moore & Moore performed at the Crisco Family Zone stage on Friday afternoon and got a great review! “The sisters flaunted tight vocal harmony and carried a confident stage presence that made it easy for audiences to connect with their music.” Check out the complete review at ww.CMAFest.com!
and sang some back-up. along with Jett Williams and Donna Fargo, for Charlie McCoy’s new Christmas album. The new CD will be available in Nov./Dec. when Moore & Moore will perform throughout Denmark with Charlie and Czech Republic’s The Country Sisters for the “Charlie‘s Christmas Angels“ tour.
Our next newsletter will be out in early December. Until then, Happy Columbus Day, Happy Halloween and Happy Thanksgiving!

A Note From Moore & Moore It has been SO HOT in Nashville, we’re ready for a change! We broke a record this year with 33 continuous days over 90 degrees, and we’re 14 inches behind in rain! We know it’s been just the opposite for some of you. Hopefully, the new season will be a nice change for all of us, but the leaves will probably only be turning brown in this part of the country! We had the pleasure of performing in Spokane, Washington in July for the Fraternal Order of Eagles convention. We did an acoustic show with Sage Keffer and had a great time. We‘ve known Sage for years, but it was our first time to perform together. We also got to see “The Rat Pack” (from Las Vegas) perform and spend some time with them. The Eagles presented us with a plaque - The Sullivan-Considine Award presented to Moore & Moore “for their generous contributions in the field of entertainment and to their country and their fellow man“.
A donation of $30,000 was also made in our name to the Schneck Medical Center Foundation in Seymour, Indiana. We were very surprised and honored! Early the next morning, Sage caught a plane to Barcelona, Spain to do a show there. We spent an extra day in Spokane for some sightseeing, then we flew to Billings, Montana to open for Mel Tillis at the county fair in Forsyth, MT. It was an outdoor show, and 102 degrees when we went on stage at 8pm! But, we still had fun and plan to go back to Montana for a show in November.
We’ve been keeping busy with other projects. We participated in a blood drive last month, then judged the Sonic Search For A Star talent contest along with Deborah Allen, Rebecca Holden and Tennessee Titan, Chris Sanders, benefitting “Soles For Souls”.
We recently lost our friend, Jason Hawkins, who was the founder of the Airplay International King Eagle Awards, where we had the honor of receiving numerous awards. Jason will be dearly missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Jennifer, and their family.
We hope you, our friends, are doing well, and of course, we hope to see you sometime soon!
Love, Debbie & Carrie
